"Implementation of the Tri Hita Karana Concept in the Community Service Program: Beach Clean-Up as an Effort to Preserve the Coastal Ecosystem of Kuta Beach"
Today, Friday, September 12, 2025, a community service activity was carried out with the theme "Implementation of the Tri Hita Karana Concept in the Community Service Program: Beach Clean Up as an Effort to Preserve the Coastal Ecosystem of Kuta Beach." This activity involved New Public Administration Students of the 2025 class and the Public Administration Student Association with mentoring from all Public Administration Lecturers.
The activity started at 08.30 WITA at Kuta Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. At the beginning of the event, a speech was given by the Coordinator of the Public Administration Study Program and Chair of the Community Service Organizing Committee, Dr. Komang Adi Sastra Wijaya, S.S., M.AP. who explained that the purpose of this activity is to implement the values of Tri Hita Karana, namely a harmonious relationship between humans and God, fellow humans, and the environment through real efforts to maintain cleanliness and preservation of coastal ecosystems and continued with a speech from Mr. I Wayan Darmawan as Chair of the Samudra Jaya 1 Kuta Fishermen Group.
Following the welcoming remarks, participants participated in a beach cleanup, collecting plastic, paper, and other waste that could potentially damage the coastal ecosystem. The interactive audience demonstrated high enthusiasm for contributing to coastal environmental sustainability.
The activity ran smoothly until 10:00 a.m. WITA, with several large bags of trash collected. Participants committed to maintaining the cleanliness and coastal ecosystem of Kuta Beach as part of their social responsibility and the implementation of Tri Hita Karana in their daily lives.
