Three Candidates Present Their Visions and Missions, and the Election of Prospective Deans of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, for the 2025-2029 Period Will Use an E-Voting System

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Udayana University held a socialization and election agenda for prospective dean candidates for the 2025–2029 term on Wednesday (August 6th) in the 4th-floor auditorium of the Faculty's Sudirman Campus. This activity is a crucial part of the faculty's leadership succession process and marks a new era of digital-based elections through the implementation of an e-voting system.

Three names of candidates who have gone through the previous administrative selection and selection process appeared to convey their vision and mission before the FISIP Senate, lecturers, education staff, and students. The three are Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si., Dr. I Gusti Agung Alit Suryawati, S.Sos., M.Si., and Dr. I Ketut Gede Harsana, S.Ag., M.Si. In their opportunity, each candidate offered the direction and strategy for the future development of FISIP, starting from improving academic quality, strengthening research based on local and global wisdom, to developing national and international networks.

After the presentation of the vision and mission, the election process was carried out behind closed doors by members of the FISIP Senate using an e-voting system, as a form of the faculty's commitment to implementing modern, transparent, and accountable governance principles. "Voting in today's dean election was carried out using an e-voting system. This reflects the digital transformation that we continue to encourage as part of modern and trusted organizational governance," said Dr. Ni Nyoman Dewi Pascarani, S.S., M.Si., as the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee. From the election results, Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si. managed to win the most votes.


This agenda is the culmination of a series of activities that have begun since the beginning of June, including the selection of prospective candidates held on June 3, 2025, registration on June 9-18, 2025, administrative selection on June 19-20, 2025, to the senate meeting and election which took place on Wednesday, August 6, 20225. With an open, efficient implementation, and prioritizing the use of technology, FISIP Unud affirms its commitment to continue to be a pioneer in building an academic culture that is inclusive and adaptive to the development of the times.
