UDAYANA COMMUNICATION SCIENCE STUDENTS ASSOCIATION SHARE WITH THOSE WHO ARE MEANINGFUL

On Saturday (21/10) the Communication's Helping (COMMING) activity was completed as a form of concern for the Udayana University Communication Science Student Association (HIMANIKA) in collaboration with Commnetz Internship participants (MAGNETZ) with the theme "Sharing Hope through Communication Towards More Meaningful Meaning ”. This activity took place at the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage, and was also warmly welcomed by the presence of I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., MA., as Coordinator of the Udayana University Communication Studies Program. Communication's Helping (COMMING) activities refer to social service activities by Communication Science students at Udayana University where Communication's Helping (COMMING) activities received a positive response from the community by providing encouragement and a form of concern through donations collected from 1 October 2023 to 17 October 2023.

Flashback to the peak of the event, which was the highlight of the activity, was the handover of donations and certificates by the Coordinator of the Udayana University Communication Science Study Program to the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage. The donations collected include gifts, basic food needs and some cash. Apart from that, the children of the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage were introduced to counseling related to literacy education and the importance of teaching literacy from an early age to prepare themselves, so that they do not easily believe the information spread on the internet. Understanding of literacy was brought by Kika as the 2023 Communication Sciences Jegeg. The activity continued until the climax of the event, the committee presented games involving the children of the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage, including the Word Guessing Game and the Challenge of Surviving on a Newspaper.

The end of the event was marked by the announcement of the winners and the distribution of prizes to representatives of the selected groups. As appreciation, the committee also gave souvenirs in the form of gifts to all the children of the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage. The social service activity ended with immortalizing the moment, namely a group photo as a memento. "In Hinduism we believe in Tri Hita Karana that life must be balanced, let's use it as motivation to support our sons and daughters to become better." said I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., MA., as Coordinator of the Communication Science Study Program at Udayana University. He also hopes that the children of the Tat Twam Asi Orphanage can continue their education up to college or undergraduate level.
