CommBiz Expo 2025: Communication Science Students Showcase Business Creations Through Final Exam Projects

Denpasar (July 2, 2025) — Room 3.2 FISIP Udayana University turned into a center of activity when Communication Science students of the 2022 batch held CommBiz Expo 2025, an exhibition of final exam projects for the Business Communication course that combines creativity, communication strategy, and entrepreneurial spirit.

This activity is part of the final assignment under the guidance of lecturers Dr. Ni Nyoman Dewi Pascarani, S.S., M.Si. and I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., M.A., who encourage students to not only understand business theory, but also be able to implement it in real form through creativity.

Different from previous years which were held with the concept of collaboration between several courses, this year's CommBiz Expo was simpler, but still interactive. Although held in a limited space, the enthusiasm of visitors did not diminish. This expo successfully attracted the attention of students from various classes, lecturers, and FISIP Unud employees who also attended and enlivened the atmosphere.

Dozens of students exhibited business products resulting from their ideas and teamwork for one semester. The variety of products displayed was very diverse, ranging from various snacks, contemporary desserts, handmade accessories, to service products. One of the service products that attracted quite a lot of attention was the song mixing service for various needs, such as social media content.

One of the expo participants, Ari Anggarini, said that this experience was an exciting challenge because it was not only to fulfill the final assignment, but also a space to hone business communication skills directly. "This activity also helps us market existing business products so that they are better known to the wider public," she said.

Not just an exhibition, CommBiz Expo is also a place to prove that Communication Science students are able to think business and execute ideas professionally. The lecturers also gave their appreciation for the creativity and enthusiasm of the students even though the implementation was carried out on a smaller scale. With a more intimate concept, this expo actually provides space for warmer interactions between participants and visitors.

CommBiz Expo 2025 is not only a final project assessment, but also a real reflection that communication and business are not two separate things. Through promotional strategies, booth branding, and how to serve customers, all participants have shown how theories in class can be applied in real, inspiring forms.
