"The increasing needs of people who respond to the direction of global trends, make it clear that there is a need for the availability of quality human resources (HR) at the same time has the ability to answer these various challenges. One need that is increasingly felt urgent to be fulfilled especially along with the rapid flow of social change and global demands is the provision of human resources with a background in social science and political science education.

    This is reasonable considering the need for graduates of political science study programs is still large uptake both the government sector, political parties and the private sector. Understanding this demand is certainly not only limited to the analytical abilities of theories or concepts, and is expected to also require the availability of technical expertise that is responsible for the needs of the labor market.

    Responding to these conditions, FISIP as a state-owned educational institution established the Political Science Study Program. In the 2010/2011 academic year, FISIP Unud opened the Political Science Study Program. The addition of this study program is based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 97 / E / 0/2011 dated May 6, 2011, concerning Permits for Establishing Political Science Study Programs. This inaugural student in the Political Science Study Program is obtained through the admission path of PMDK (Search of Interest and Ability), and subsequently through SNMPTN and SBMPTN. With the establishment of this study program, it is expected to be able to give birth to reliable, superior, independent, cultured and qualified political human resources. For more specific reasons, Bali as a strategic area is known for where frequent scientific associations or seminars on regional, national and international politics are involved, so that the presence of Political Science study programs will be able to contribute to scientific development, especially in the field of political science, as well as an ideal learning tool for students"
