Communication Science Student from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, Wins First Place in the 2025 National Language Ambassador Award
I Gusti Ayu Chintya Pradnyandewi, a student of the Communication Science Study Program at Udayana University's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, has achieved a proud achievement in the national competition arena. She won the title of first place for the female in the 2025 National Language Ambassador Selection. This prestigious event took place from September 8 to 12, 2025, at the Aston Kartika Grogol Hotel, West Jakarta, and was attended by 30 pairs of finalists from all provinces in Indonesia.
For Gung Chintya, this achievement wasn't an instant achievement, but rather the fruit of a long journey filled with dedication and consistency. Since June, she has been seriously preparing. One of her main focuses is the implementation of a language program titled Sigandi (Multisensory Stimulation for Children with Dyslexia), an initiative to help dyslexic children in Buleleng Regency improve their literacy and language skills. This program has a strong added value and makes a real contribution to the community.
Gung Chintya didn't stop there; she also prepared for various other aspects assessed in this event, from compiling linguistic content and writing articles to performing her talent. She also deepened her foreign language skills and enriched her knowledge of policy, literacy issues, language, and literature to prepare her for public speaking sessions. Furthermore, mental preparation was a key focus. Gung Chintya regularly mentored fellow students from the Bali Provincial Language Ambassadors Association, who consistently provided support, input, and motivation.
"At first, I felt hesitant when I had to compete with 30 pairs of the best finalists from all over Indonesia. However, thanks to prayers, hard work, and the full support of the extended family of the Balinese Language Ambassadors Association, I was finally able to bring home this best achievement for Bali and Udayana University," said Chintya gratefully. This victory is proof that the National Language Ambassador Selection is not just a competition, but a space to exchange insights, expand networks, and learn cross-culturally with outstanding young people from all over the country. For Chintya, this experience provided many valuable lessons, from deepening her love for Indonesian language and literature to building self-confidence to continue inspiring.
He also emphasized the importance of having the courage to dream. "One of the most precious things anyone can have is the courage to dream. Find your dream, then pursue it until it's truly within your grasp," he advised.
I Gusti Chintya Pradnya Dewi's achievement is a source of pride not only for the Communication Studies program, but also for Udayana University and the Province of Bali. This achievement confirms that UNUD Communication Studies students are capable of competing at the national level and demonstrates a significant role in efforts to improve literacy and language development.
