FISIP Udayana University Provides Punia and Participates in Ngayah to Support the Karya Tawur Agung Manca Wali Krama Ceremony at Pura Hulundanu Batur

Batur, September 12, 2026 — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Udayana University, participated in supporting the implementation of the Karya Tawur Agung Manca Wali Krama at Pura Hulundanu Batur through a community service program conducted on September 11–12, 2026. The activity was carried out under the theme, “Strengthening the Spirit of Mutual Cooperation and Social Solidarity to Preserve Cultural Values.”

As a form of concern and support for the religious ceremony, FISIP Udayana University provided punia (voluntary offerings/donations) in the form of ceremonial supplies, equipment needed for the preparation of ritual offerings (perantenan), basic food supplies, and various other supporting necessities. The assistance was provided in accordance with the needs of the ceremony and the resources available to the faculty.

The punia was handed over directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, to Jro Mangku Salin Mulyawan as the representative of the ceremony organizing committee. This handover served as a tangible expression of FISIP Udayana University's participation in supporting the successful implementation of the series of religious ceremonies at Pura Hulundanu Batur.

The activity was not merely regarded as the provision of assistance but also as an expression of care, togetherness, mutual cooperation, and the spirit of ngayah (voluntary community service) within society. Through this contribution, FISIP Udayana University sought to actively participate in and support religious and cultural activities that hold significant value for the community.

This community service activity forms part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community engagement and service. FISIP Udayana University's involvement in the ceremony also reflects its commitment to strengthening relationships and collaboration between higher education institutions and the wider community.

Furthermore, this activity is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, through support for community sustainability and the preservation of cultural values, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the strengthening of partnerships and collaboration with local communities.

Through this punia contribution, FISIP Udayana University hopes to provide meaningful support for the successful implementation of the Tawur Agung Manca Wali Krama ceremony at Pura Hulundanu Batur, while also reinforcing the spirit of togetherness and social responsibility between higher education institutions and the community.
