Communication Studies Study Program FISIP UNUD Received a Comparative Study Visit as well as a Cooperation Agreement with the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Riau Islamic University.

Denpasar, 07 September 2023 Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University received a comparative study visit from the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Riau Islamic University with a comparative study agenda as well as a cooperation agreement between faculties. The visit was attended by the Dean, Deputy Dean II, and 16 lecturers and staff from FIKOM Riau Islamic University.
The first speech was given by Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si as the Dean of FISIP UNUD by introducing FISIP UNUD, especially the Communication Studies study program. In his speech, the Dean of UNUD also hoped that this visit could strengthen relations between study programs and further improve the quality of individual lecturers and University institutions. He also hoped that cooperation could be realized in terms of student exchanges between study programs. This meeting was also attended by Deputy Dean 3 of FISIP UNUD Dr. I Made Anom Wiranata., S.IP., MA who provided input so that cooperation can produce productive collaboration between study programs. Similar to the statement of the Dean of FISIP UNUD, Dr. Muhd AR Imam Riauan M.I.Kom Dean of FIKOM Riau Islamic University, in his speech also expressed his desire to collaborate with FISIP UNUD, especially in terms of national publication collaboration between lecturers. Through this common perception, today there has been a signing of cooperation between Faculties which has been carried out by the Deans.
During the visit, I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., MA, also signed the Implementation Agreement regarding lecturer exchanges to achieve IKU 3. UNUD Communication Science Study Program Coordinator and Dr. Fatmawati Head of Communication Studies Study Program, Riau Islamic University. At the same time, there was an exchange of lecturer Eka Fitri Qurniawati, M.I.Kom who was a guest lecturer in the Crisis and Risk Communication course as an implementation of the IA.
The event was closed with a tour visiting various rooms and facilities at FISIP UNUD. By establishing this collaboration, it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on the education system and benefit the academic community of both universities.
