FISIP Udayana University Warmly Welcomes Academic Visit from FISIP Slamet Riyadi University, Strengthens Synergy for Quality Education
Denpasar – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Udayana University enthusiastically welcomed a friendly visit from FISIP Slamet Riyadi University, Solo, on Wednesday, November 6 2024. This visit was led directly by the Dean of FISIP Slamet Riyadi University, Dr. Drs. Suwardi, M.Sc., together with the faculty leadership team consisting of Dr. Herning Suryo Sarjono, M.Si. (Deputy Dean), Dra. Damayanti Suhita, M.Sc. (Head of State Administration Study Program), Drs. Buddy Riyanto, M.Si. (Head of Communication Science Study Program), and Ganjar Widhiyoga, S.I.P., M.Si., Ph.D. (Head of International Relations Study Program) along with 350 students from the communication science study program, public administration study program, and international relations study program.
The group's arrival was greeted directly by Dr. Tedi Erviantono, S.IP., M.Sc., Coordinator of the Political Science Study Program at Udayana University FISIP, who together with representatives from various study programs delivered a warm welcome and introduced the achievements and superior programs at Udayana University FISIP. In his speech, Dr. Tedi appreciated this visit as a form of spirit of synergy between campuses in improving the quality of education in Indonesia.
The event opened with remarks from the FISIP of Udayana University, which was followed by an introduction session to the study program by several coordinators. I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., M.A., Coordinator of the Communication Science Study Program, explained a number of activities and achievements in the field of communication that had been achieved by students and lecturers. Apart from that, I Putu Dharmanu Yudartha, S.Sos., M.PA., from the Public Administration Study Program also explained various collaborative programs, including student exchange cooperation that had previously been established between Udayana University and Slamet Riyadi University. Yedi Mulya Permana, S.Si., M.H.I., lecturer in International Relations, also explained several international collaboration programs currently running in their study program.
Dr. Drs. Suwardi, M.Si., Dean of FISIP, Slamet Riyadi University, in his speech expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the warm welcome from Udayana University. He said that this visit was an important moment to maintain friendship and academic synergy. "We are very grateful for the warm welcome from our brothers at Udayana University. "This visit is a valuable opportunity for us to exchange insights and establish closer relationships to improve the quality of education," he said.
During the meeting, the two faculties also agreed on various collaboration opportunities that could be carried out, including student and lecturer exchanges, research collaborations, and student organization activities that could enrich students' academic and social experiences. The interactive question and answer session took place with enthusiasm, showing the enthusiasm of both parties to explore concrete and applicable cooperation ideas.
This event ended with the handing over of souvenirs from both parties as a symbol of respect and confirmation of mutual commitment in building harmonious synergy. Through this meeting, Udayana University and Slamet Riyadi University demonstrated a strong spirit of collaboration, ready to support the development of higher quality and relevant social and political sciences for the nation's future.
With this visit, it is hoped that academic cooperation in the social and political fields between the two universities will continue to grow and provide broad benefits, not only for the academic community, but also for Indonesian society in general.
