PROMOTING ANTI-VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN KKNT FISIP UNUD STUDENTS PRESENT THE P2KBP3A SERVICE IN AN INTERACTIVE SOCIALIZATION WITH THE BELOK/SIDAN VILLAGE PKK GROUP
Badung - Unud FISIP KKNT students presented the Badung Regency Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service in the context of education to the Belok/Sidan Village PKK group to open a space for discussion on the importance of preventing and handling violence against women and children.
KKNT students from the Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University held interactive socialization activities with the PKK Desa/Belok Sidan group. This activity was held on Friday, December 13 2024 at the Belok/Sidan Village Hall, Petang District, Badung. This activity was carried out as one of the work programs of the Udayana Thematic KKN MBKM group Period V, Belok/Sidan Village, which consisted of 8 Political Science students.
On this occasion, socialization was carried out with the theme "Preventing and Handling Violence Against Women and Children" targeting women's groups in the PKK organization in Belok/Sidan Village. This socialization aims to invite and open space for groups of women to get to know and share experiences regarding the issue of violence that is prone to occurring around them. As presenters of the material, KNNT students presented the Badung Regency Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Services directly, which was attended by the Family Learning Center Division.
The material presented invites PKK members to be able to identify what constitutes violence, the forms and ways of preventing and dealing with it. The PKK were introduced to appropriate actions to prevent and handle violence, not only physically but psychologically. The discussion was held warmly and interactively and was welcomed enthusiastically by the PKK group who actively shared and discussed with the presenters.
By holding this activity, it is hoped that it can become a safe space for PKK members to increase their knowledge and share experiences, especially among women, regarding the issue of violence that can occur, especially from the immediate environment. In the future, women's groups, especially the PKK in Belok/Sidan Village, can play an active role as an extension of the fight against violence against women and children.
