The Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), the Bali KPID, and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Udayana University (UNUD) discussed television broadcast quality in the new media era.

DENPASAR – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Udayana University through the Communication Science Study Program in collaboration with the Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) and the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) of Bali Province held a scientific event on the Dissemination of the 2025 Television Broadcast Program Quality Index with the title “Broadcasting Institution Content vs. New Media Content.”

The event took place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the 4th Floor of the FISIP Hall, on the UNUD Campus on Jl. Sudirman, Denpasar. It opened with remarks and an introductory keynote speech by Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si., Dean of FISIP UNUD. Several speakers were also present, building the dynamic of the discussion at this event.

Among them were Amin Shabana, S.Sos., M.Si. (Central KPI Commissioner), I Gusti Agung Gede Agung Widiana Kepakisan (Bali Provincial KPID), I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., MA. (Coordinator of Communication Science Study Program, UNUD), and Dr. Ni Nyoman Dewi Pascarani, S.S., M.Si. (Lecturer of Communication Science, FISIP, UNUD). The discussion was interactive with moderation from A.A. Raka Jayaningsih, S.I.Kom., M.Med.Kom., a lecturer in Communication Science, UNUD, who delivered material related to the dynamics of broadcasting conditions in Indonesia today.

The dissemination forum encouraged participants to understand the KPI's agenda and policies for maintaining the quality of television broadcasting programs in Indonesia. It also featured discussions on the challenges of new media content, which is increasingly dominating the public sphere. Furthermore, through this dissemination, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Udayana University, along with the Central KPI and the Bali KPID, reaffirmed their commitment to building a healthy, educational, and adaptive media ecosystem.
