The meeting was highly productive, covering strategic matters concerning higher education in the field of library and information science specifically the development and management of the D3 Library Studies curriculum. In addition to discussing the curriculum, the UKSW delegation introduced the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program, which serves as a pathway for graduates of Diploma III (D3) programs to pursue a Bachelor’s degree (S1). This introduction provided insight into alternative educational pathways for diploma graduates, allowing for the formal recognition of previously acquired learning outcomes and professional experience. The visit served as a valuable opportunity for both programs to exchange information, broaden academic perspectives, and explore potential collaborations in the development of library and information science education. Through this interaction and knowledge sharing, it is hoped that a stronger institutional relationship will be forged, ultimately fostering improved educational quality and the continuous development of graduate competencies.
