Marking its commitment to gender equality and justice, the Political Science Coordinator of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, submitted the Body Politics textbook to the Bali Gender Studies Forum.

The Coordinator of the Political Science Study Program, Dr. Tedi Erviantono, S.IP, M.Si received a special invitation to attend the Integration of Gender Equality and Justice Material into the Curriculum and Courses as well as in the Learning Process. This activity was held by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ngurah Rai University, Denpasar, together with the NGO Bali Sruti on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Postgraduate Building of Ngurah Rai University, Denpasar, Bali.

This activity was also attended by several FISIP Unud Teams, including the Coordinator of the Sociology Study Program represented by Ni Made Anggita Sastri Mahadewi, S.Sos, M.Sos, Coordinator of the Communication Science Study Program represented by Dr. I Gusti Agung Alit Suryawati, S.Sos., M.Si., Coordinator of the International Relations Study Program represented by Ni Nyoman Clara Listya Dewi, S.IP., MA, Coordinator of the Anthropology Study Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Unud, Alifiati, S.S, M.Si, and the Center for Gender Studies and Child Protection Unud represented by Nyoman Ayu Sukma Pramestisari, S.Sos., M.A, as well as representatives of Study Programs from Undiksha Singaraja, UHN I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa, Mahasaraswati University, STISIP Margarana Tabanan, Bali International University, and the host Ngurah Rai University.

At the event, the Coordinator of the Political Science Study Program, Dr. Tedi Erviantono S.IP, M.Si., provided input regarding the achievements of curriculum development and implementation in two gender-related courses that have been taught and developed at the Unud Political Science Study Program during the odd and even semesters of the 2023-2025 Academic Year. The courses are the Women and Politics course taught by Dr. Kadek Dwita Apriani, S.IP, M.IP, and the Body Politics course taught by Dr. Tedi Erviantono, S.IP, M.Si. "Information regarding the challenges in updating and developing materials and reference sources for the Body Politics course, including follow-up in writing students' final assignments and the driving force in the alumni's work world, such as the alumni's career fields in several Women's CSOs," said Dr. Tedi Erviantono in the forum.

At the end of the Forum, the author of the textbook "The Politics of the Body," who is also the Coordinator of the Political Science Study Program, who previously received a Textbook Grant from LP2M Udayana University, symbolically handed over the textbook to representatives from Ngurah Rai University and Bali Sruti, the event organizers. The book was appreciated by the committee as an important initial foundation for the development of gender-related courses, which already have independent curriculum content and have been implemented in higher education in Bali.

It is hoped that gender-based courses can be implemented in all universities in Bali in the future, given the increasing concerns about gender equality and justice in our society. This activity also initiated the formation of a gender studies forum with members from all universities in Bali.
