UDAYANA UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATION SCIENCE SERVICE 2025
The Communication Science Study Program of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Udayana University carried out a two-day community service activity in Tenganan Pengringsingan Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency. This community service activity carried two themes, namely, "Socialization of Child-Friendly Digital Space for the Community of Tenganan Pegringsingan Village" on Thursday, July 10, 2025 and "Digital Marketing Socialization for the Young Generation of Tenganan Pengrisingan Village" on Friday, July 11, 2025. The concept of implementing this community service is in the form of providing counseling materials and practical activities to the youth and community of Tenganan Pegringsingan Village, as well as teachers of SDN 1 Tenganan.
This event was warmly welcomed by the Head of Tenganan Hamlet, Mr. Gede Mahendra and the Principal of SDN 1 Tenganan, Mr. I Wayan Wardana, and opened by the Coordinator of the Communication Science Study Program, Mrs. I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni. "I am pleased to be able to receive activities from the dedication of the Communication Science Study Program, FISIP, Udayana University. And hopefully the village community and children can gain new insights and knowledge related to Digital Marketing and Communication," said Mr. Gede Mahendra when giving his remarks. "Hopefully the children can understand more about digital communication, so that in the future they are ready and can become young men and women who can help and advance the village," said Mr. I Wayan Wardana when delivering his remarks.
During the activity, the enthusiasm of the children of SDN 1 Tenganan in carrying out the practice also brought a cheerful and curious atmosphere. Their high curiosity, increased the enthusiasm of the Communication Science lecturers in accompanying and providing direction to them. On the same occasion, the children and lecturers exposed the potential of Tenganan Pegringsingan Village from the uniqueness of nature, buildings, culture, and community products that are still beautiful, traditional, and original. The Communication Science lecturers who have participated in the service of Tenganan Village are; Coordinator of the Communication Science Study Program of Udayana University, namely Mrs. I Dewa Ayu Sugiarica Joni, S.Sos., MA., Mrs. Dr. Ni Nyoman Dewi Pascarani, S.S., M.Si, Mr. Calvin Damasemil, S.I.Kom., M.Si, Mr. I Gst. Ngr. Oka Candrakusuma, S.Ikom., M.A, Mr. I Putu Juni Antara, S.Ikom., M.A, and Mr. Briant Nor Pradhuka, M.I.Kom., have carried out community service activities well.
By implementing the community service of the Communication Studies Program of Udayana University, it is hoped that it can provide significant benefits to the people of Tenganan Pegringsiangan Village, especially in understanding the context of communication and technology that will always develop and coexist in everyday life. And it is also hoped that in the future the service of the Communication Studies Program of Udayana University can continue to provide positive impacts and benefits to parties who will be invited to collaborate in the future during the service activities. Thus, this community service activity becomes a new arena for friendship, collaboration, and interaction between the people of Tenganan Pegringsingan Village and the Communication Studies Program of FISIP Udayana University.
